Music Preludes® Curriculum for early childhood educators without a music background (successfully implemented in Goddard Schools across the nation) designed especially for preschool educators to implement the essential Music Preludes® concepts into their daily classroom activities.
Without any prior music experience, educators can learn to help preschoolers hone their aesthetic senses, enhance their modes of creative expression, boast their brain power in Reading, Math, and Science, and communicate in the universal language of music, abilities that will fundamentally improve many critical facets of their overall development and will be carried with them into their futures.
In this curriculum we provide:
- Weekly lesson plans, props, and pictures for the Infant, Pre-Toddler, Toddler 1, Toddler 2, Preschool and Pre-K/Kindergarten curriculums…introduce the children to fun songs, story songs, rhythms and rhythm patterns, percussion instruments, dynamics (loud and soft), tempo (fast and slow), pitch (high and low), creative movement, and keyboard vocabulary (musical alphabet).
- Red, Blue and Green CDs for each level of the curriculum.
- Red, Blue and Green Teacher Songbooks with words to all the songs on the Red, Blue, and Green CDs, supplementary activities for each song, and visuals.
- Materials and Suggestions to empower preschool educators to engage their students in many novel experiences within the realms of creative movement and expression, singing, experimentation with sounds and percussion instruments, and listening to genres of music from cultures around the world.
Through the years, we have confirmed our belief that children are inherently natural musicians overflowing with enthusiasm and the desire to engage in positive new experiences. If given the opportunity, children will express themselves in many creative ways.
